Hephzibah's Programs and Services
Group Homes
Diagnostic Treatment Center – The DTC provides a safe place for children who have been abused or neglected, who have behavioral and emotional problems that require evaluation and specialized care. It is the only residential diagnostic treatment center in the state of Illinois for children between the ages of 3 and 12.
The Residence – A long-term group home for children ages 3-12. Designed for children whose emotional and behavioral difficulties require therapeutic care in a consistently stable, nurturing and supportive environment.
Foster Care
Each year, Hephzibah foster parents open their homes - and their hearts - to children in need of loving homes. When returning home to their biological parents isn't an option, many of these children form permanent families with their foster parents through Hephzibah adoptions.
Family Based Services
Four “umbrella” programs that provide support and intervention services for families struggling with various social problems. They include: Intact Family Services, Family Reunification, Foster Care and Adoption services
Day Care
Hephzibah's award-winning Day Care program helps children in our community achieve their full social, emotional, and intellectual potential. Tuition is offered on a sliding fee scale.
Educational Enrichment
Three “Academy” programs that help children reach their academic potential, through reading, the arts, and after-school tutoring.
Sibling Camp
Because 75 percent of the children in the child welfare system have been separated from their siblings – and many never resolve the feelings of loss that result from these broken bonds – Hephzibah established a summer camp for brothers and sisters living in separate foster or group homes.
