Our Mission
Hephzibah enhances the lives of children and families through a continuum of innovative programs.
Accreditation
Hephzibah is accredited by the National Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services, Inc. in New York. The Council on Accreditation is the largest independent accreditor of social service and mental health agencies in the US. We are required to be accredited every four years, and we were first accredited in 1997. Hephzibah was approved for accreditation in 2005.
Licensing
Hephzibah is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as a Child Welfare Agency, Group Home (the Residence), Child Care Institution (the Diagnostic Treatment Center), and Day Care Center. Each of our nine Day Care locations holds its own license and each Day Care license is renewable every three years. Other licenses are renewable every four years.
Funding
Hephzibah receives funding from a variety of public and private sources, including the Oak Park and River Forest Mental Health Boards; the Oak Park and River Forest Township Youth Services; the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago; the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services; the Department of Human Services, the Department of Mental Health and our own fund raising activities.
Privacy Policy
The organization protects confidential and other sensitive information from theft, unauthorized use, damage, or destruction by: limiting access to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis; backing up electronic data, with copies maintained off premises; using firewalls, anti-virus and related software, and other appropriate safeguards; and maintaining paper records in a secure location.
