The residential program is seeking a part-time Residential Services Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the Director of Residential Services and perform various office duties, including word processing, data processing, data entry, file maintenance, statistical analysis, and assisting with billing.

This position is approximately 25 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday, with some flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements include:

  • Experience working and understanding DCFS rules and regulations.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and the ability to work effectively with staff, oversight agencies, and the public.
  • Requires continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and demands.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
  • Ability to use good judgment, discretion, and tact in dealing with staff and clients.
  • Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the staff and client populations.
