Back-to-School Supply Drive 2023

SHOP THE WISH LIST

The average cost to send a child to school last school year was nearly $900 per child. For the families we serve, this creates an enormous financial strain, and they are often forced to choose between buying required school supplies or providing for their family.

That’s why each summer, we hit the ground early planning our back-to-school shopping event. This is a life-saver for our families, who come to the event, ready to shop. There’s just one thing different about our ‘store’ – no one pays for anything. It is a huge weight off the shoulders of the parents and families we serve.

This summer we hope to provide 450 children with all that they need to return to school. Every child deserves to thrive at school, and we are so grateful for a community of donors, sponsors and volunteers who make this possible.

Here is where you come in! Please consider purchasing items off of our Back-to-School WISH LIST. If you love to purchase items in person, feel free to do so from the list below. Items can be dropped off at both Oak Park Bank locations. Please make all wish list purchases soon, so that all items arrive no later than Tuesday, August 1st.

Thank you for helping every child we serve be prepared and every parent be supported for the school year. We would like to issue a special thanks to J.A. Watts, Capstone Financial Advisors, Enchanted Backpack, Calvary Memorial Church and Oak Park Bank for their support of this event.

If you would like to volunteer for the Back-to-School shopping event on August 10, please visit our VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP page. If you have any questions, please email Volunteer Manager Katherine Watson.
