MICHELLE DURPETTI has a special place in her heart for Hephzibah’s kids.
“I was adopted at birth and I was so blessed to find my way to two parents who love me and support me,” explains Durpetti, who was raised in Oak Park. “Today, it is so important to me to pay that forward by lending my support to an organization that does wonderful things for children who are waiting to find their own families.”
Durpetti has found an undeniably sweet way to give back. Each November during National Adoption Month, she donates a portion of the proceeds from dessert sales at her family’s Gene & Georgetti restaurants to Hephzibah Children’s Association.
“We are so grateful to Michelle and the Gene & Georgetti family for their continued generosity,” says Hephzibah Development Director Juliet Yera. “Over the past four years, they have raised awareness of our mission while raising more than $20,000 to help our children heal and find loving forever families of their own.”
