It was a record breaking year. Through raffle ticket sales and donations we raised nearly $7,000 at our 29th Annual Bring-A-Gift Party on December 9 at Doc Ryan’s. That’s not even including the mountain of fabulous toys! Our first annual Ugly Sweater Contest drew many adorable and brave competitors. We appreciate the local businesses who helped us put together exciting raffle baskets. Hats off to the UPS drivers who transported the toys to Hephzibah Home and the Forest Park police officers who gave their truck a special escort.

A special thank you to the wonderful volunteer groups who visited our offices and group home in December to wrap presents, decorate the tree, shop for gifts, do craft projects, and sing songs. So many generous people fulfilled wishes on our wish list, collected books, brought toys to Red Hen and other stores, bought gifts from wishes pinned on the Whole Foods tree, provided warm coats and contributed in so many ways to our bright, beautiful season. Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate the spirit of the holidays with Hephzibah. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Hannah Weigel at hweigel@hephzibahhome.org.
