It’s a Heurtley House Party

Heurtley House, an architectural gem designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, was the perfect setting for a summer cocktail party on June 25, 2016. The guest list was limited to the first 30 people who snapped up tickets to the soiree, offered as a silent auction item at the Heart of Gold Ball in March.

An important part of the party was the sumptuous array of appetizers and desserts, prepared and served by three couples: Mary Lou and Marty Noll, Molly and Tim Philosophos, and Mary Anne and Max Brown. All six took part in creating a memorable evening.

As head chef, Mary Lou dazzled the guests with chilled avocado soup and platters of roasted beef tenderloin. Molly’s homemade spinach pies were a big hit. Mary Anne introduced people who were new to Hephzibah to many of the agency’s long-time supporters.

Max was in his element as the head bartender making sure all the party-goers had the perfect drink. Tim served his own twist on a Bahamian cocktail made of coconut and ginger. Marty kept the trays full, circulated through the party and shared laughs with everyone in the kitchen.

Thank you to all who attended! Special thanks to Ken and Patty Hunt, who graciously opened their home to Hephzibah for the evening.
