Help us welcome Juliet Yera, Hephzibah’s new Director of Development. Yera’s most recent position was as Development Director for Sarah’s Inn in Oak Park, where she led the agency’s fundraising efforts for the past six years. Yera takes over for Molly Philosophos who is headed to Madison, WI, as Development Director for the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin.
“We are excited that Juliet will be bringing her energy and talent to the Hephzibah team,” said Mary Anne Brown, Executive Director. “Please introduce yourselves and welcome her aboard.”
Yera began at Sarah’s Inn in 2009 as Volunteer Coordinator and was named Development Director in 2010. At Sarah’s Inn she established an Associate Board of young professionals, oversaw the agency’s rebranding, and increased overall revenue. She has been working in the nonprofit sector for the past 12 years, first in Miami and then in New York. Yera is a graduate of Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, IL.
“Molly’s tenure at Hephzibah as development director for seven years and a board member for 10 years has been marked by her sincere dedication to our mission,” Brown said. “She has been an effective fundraiser and a tremendous asset to Hephzibah. We’ll all miss her spirit.”
With their youngest child joining Wisconsin’s freshman class this fall, and two sons already living in Madison, Molly and Tim Philosophos decided it was time to relocate to Madison from the Oak Park community they have lived in for more than 20 years. Don’t think you’ve seen the last of them. Molly has promised to attend the Heart of Gold Ball, March 4, 2017 – this time as a guest!
