ids love the squishy surface that replaced the sand in Hephzibah Home’s backyard playground. It’s a safer, cleaner surface that’s also more fun for bouncing. Special snaps to the John F. Smiekel Foundation and an anonymous donor who helped fund the super new playground, rainbow colored benches, climbing rungs, and a new slide.
At the Playground Palooza on August 30, 2015, Hephzibah thanked generous donors for keeping the facility updated. The Sunday celebration included crafts, snacks, music, and hula hoops.
Sing-along tunes from the band, Pickin’ on Ukes kept toes tapping. Families and board members enjoyed touring the new space and seeing a full demonstration of monkey bar tricks. Kids and adults loved the Chicago Mix popcorn generously donated by Gary Poppins. Brave snackers also sampled an array of special popcorn flavors including birthday cake, rosemary lemon parmesan, and purple palooza crunch. Thank you to all the donors and fans who make Hephzibah such a great place.
