You Can Make Wishes Come True

Oct 1, 2015

webnews.boy making book_optWith an inside scoop from a source at the North Pole, Hephzibah’s Donor Relations Manager, Marissa Grott, is starting to gather the gifts that will top this year’s wish lists. Highly prized toys include: remote control cars, trucks, and helicopters; remote control dinosaurs, bugs, and animals; superhero toys such as play sets, figures, costumes, and vehicles; and all Mutant Ninja turtle items. Please note that we cannot use weapons of any type including Nerf guns. Other big hits are: Fur Real pets, DS games, Barbie and Hello Kitty items, craft kits, earbuds, headphones and McDonald’s $5 gift certificates.

The Group Home is currently seeking sturdy bean bag or pillow chairs that kids can use to curl up and read. As the weather gets cooler, consider donating passes to the Shedd Aquarium or Planetarium — or contributing toward an outing to Key Lime Cove or an IMAX Theater. Check the wishlist at www.hephzibahome.org for the latest requests. If you have a special idea, or if you’d like to fulfill the Christmas wishes for a particular child in the Group Home, contact Marissa Grott at mgrott@www.hephzibahhome.org. She can provide specific gift ideas and sizes for clothing and shoes. Thanks to your generosity, wishes do come true. We could not do it without you.
