Celebrating 50 Years of Hephzibah’s Day Care Program

What do you get when you join together hundreds of caregivers and the children and families they cared for and helped from the past 50 years? Pure Magic! All it took was some coordinating on our part, and the Hephzibah Day Care participants and staff did the rest!

This year marks the 50th year our Day Care program has been in existence and has helped local families with nurturing, enriching childcare when they needed it the most. On Saturday, September 21st, over 200 parents, children and caregivers of past and present gathered together to remember and honor the program that provided them with much-needed childcare for parents, and a place to make lifelong memories and friends for children. The event was not only a commemoration, but also a pancake breakfast in honor of a much-loved former day care tradition.

At the celebration, long-time staff members were also honored including Kathy Nugent who served as a Day Care staff person for 40 years. If you missed the celebration, there is still time to give to the Kathy Nugent Memorial Fund which benefits the Hephzibah Day Care Program. Click the button below to contribute today. Thank you to all of you who helped us celebrate this wonderful program!
