THANK YOU for Making the Holidays Magical!

Jan 9, 2026

Looking back at the whirlwind that was winter holidays, we want to thank each and every person who contributed their time and money to making this season wonderful for our kids and families. A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the Hephzibah Holiday Challenge, our big end-of-year push. Each year we ask for your support in helping our children and families through this extremely stressful and difficult season, and each year you show up big-time with an outpouring of love and support. Thanks to your donations and the generosity of our sponsors who doubled every donation we received, Hephzibah is able to start the new year off strong, confident that no curve-ball is too curved for the Hephzibah community to overcome.

In addition to donations, these are the people and organizations who generously volunteered of their time this season that we want to highlight:

  • KBC Advisors came to Hephzibah Home to wrap presents for the residents, complete with hand-written notes from “Santa’s elves.”
  • Jackson National wrapped gifts for the kids at the Home at their office downtown.
  • Gene & Georgetti donated and delivered delicious Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve dinners for the children and staff at Hephzibah Home.
  • The Harlem Irving Plaza mall and it’s shoppers donated a roomful of toys…
  • …that volunteers from Northwestern Medicine came to sort and organize for our intact families.
  • Paramount Events – under the leadership of Jodi Fyfe – packed & donated 100 boxes of cooking supplies for the Family Based Program.
  • The Peninsula Hotel of Chicago donated gift bags with personalized spa robes and slippers for the Hephzibah Home kids.
  • The Carleton Hotel hosted the Hephzibah Home Christmas dinner, complete with gifts for every child.
  • Oak Park friends Jean Powell & Valoria Simpson hand-knit sweaters for every child at the Home, keeping them nice and cozy for the winter.

We want to make every day at Hephzibah feel as full of love and joy as Christmas for the children in our residential treatment program, for every foster family, at our 8 day care sites, and all of the kids and families in our intact program. But in the end, there’s nothing quite like holidays at Hephzibah thanks to your generosity.
