Last weekend marked the 7th annual Care & Spare, Hephzibah Chicago Auxiliary Board’s signature event. This event always draws a crowd, and we’re not surprised! Care & Spare brings together auxiliary members and their friends for fun events that raise funds for Hephzibah and bring awareness to Hephzibah programs and the children and families we serve.
This year’s event took place Saturday, May 4th at Timber Lanes in Chicago, where attendees spent the afternoon bowling and having fun. They raised almost $5,000 and more importantly, shared with their guests important information about the work we do at Hephzibah Home, within our Foster Care and Prevention Services as well as our After School Care and Summer Camp programs.
This year’s event featured fun activities like grandma bowling and a spin & bowl game, creative raffle prizes and as always a fantastic MC, Ryan Alkire, long-time Chicago auxiliary supporter. Happy Camper Wrigleyville sponsored the delicious pizza meal. There was no shortage of fun this year.
We are grateful for the support from all of our auxiliary boards! The funds they raise and the awareness they spread about our programs for children and families carries the message of our mission far and wide, and we can’t thank them enough!
