Right now, in Illinois, there are thousands of children in foster care waiting for a home. These children, who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect, need stability, love, nurturing and safety. As troublesome as this reality is, it means that our job at Hephzibah, to find children in the child welfare system safe homes, is more important than ever.
